I ran my second 5k race this May at the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum. And Cameron ran the kids 1 mile race. We had beautiful weather and even more beautiful surroundings. All in all it was a great day, Cameron even received a medal.

Lauren's 2nd Birthday
Our baby is 2! It really seems like just yesterday we were celebrating her first birthday, where did the time go. We have really enjoyed the past year watching Lauren grow and learn. She is talking up a storm, she knows her letters and can count to 10! She loves doing puzzles, playing dress up with her big sister and "riding" her tricycle.
Spring Memories
The kids had a lot of fun coloring Easter eggs this year. They were very proud of their creations!
On April 11 we headed down to Baker Park Reserve in Maple Plain for an Easter egg hunt. It was a fun morning filled with music, games, picnic lunch and horse drawn wagon ride.
The kids woke up Easter morning to find out the Easter Bunny had hid eggs outside. They had a lot of fun finding them, and enjoying a beautiful spring day.
YWCA Indoor Triathlon
I did it....I'm officially a triathlete! In the beginning of April I competed in the YWCA indoor mini sprint triathlon. It consisted of a 400 yard swim, 8 mile bike and 1 mile run. It was such an amazing experience, and it was even more special with Rino and the kids there cheering me along! I was so thrilled to finish, and even more thrilled to have finished in under an hour! This gave me great confidence and I am looking forward to my next triathlon in August!
Amelia's Golden Birthday
On March 4, 2009 we celebrated Amelia's golden birthday. It is hard to believe 4 years ago our sweet little girl came into our lives. She is such a joy to have around, her smile is infectious!
Since it was her golden birthday I wanted to do something special. We decided to let her get her ears pierced. She was so brave.
I wanted to do a fun and different kind of cake. I ended up making a princess cake, and cupcakes.
Where Dreams Come True......
In February we took the kids to Disney World. We decided to drive which ended up being quite the challenge, but the kids were great. We had such a fun time and can't wait to go back! Really, where else on Earth can you dine with Princesses, sword fight with a pirate, fly on a magic carpet, and complete secret spy missions?
We finally arrived at our resort after nearly 30 hours in the car! We had fun exploring the resort grounds before heading to bed.
We spent the first two days checking out the Magic Kingdom. We enjoyed meeting some characters, riding rides, and watching the Spectro Magic parade and fireworks.
The girls also got their first haircuts at the old time barber shop
The third day was a bit more relaxed. We headed to Hollywod Studios in the morning,we really enjoyed riding Toy Story Mania, and watching Beauty and The Beast on stage. We headed back to the resort for lunch and a nap, then back to Hollywood studios that afternoon.
The next day we headed to Epcot. We had fun exploring all the different countries. We especially loved Norway where we enjoyed a wonderful breakfast with some of our favorite Disney princesses.
Next on the agenda was Animal Kingdom. We had lunch at Rainforest Cafe, enjoyed the wonderful African Safari and took in a few shows.
Back to the Magic Kingdom, this time the girls were dressed up as Princesses and Cameron was dressed up like Captain Jack Sparrow. We ended the night meeting Mickey and Minnie Mouse!
For our last day at Disney we headed back to Epcot. We were able to explore more of the countries, and do a few more Kim Possible missions which the kids really liked. We tasted some yummy food from Japan and France.
