Birthday Girl

I just celebrated my 32nd birthday on Saturday. I had a low key day at home, enjoyed a nice bath and my book. Then hung out with Rino and the kids and had a great homemade dinner and of course cake:)

Well I did it. I signed up for the Maple Grove half marathon. It's on May 22, 2010. I really wanted to challenge myself to do a longer distance race.

Ice Skating

I had bought everyone ice skates, and had hoped to use them when we were down in Chicago, but ended up not having time. So, we took advantage of the nice weather (and a day off school and work) to give them a try. We went to Weaver Lake park in Maple Grove, they only had a small leisure rink and one hockey rink. But we had a blast, the kids did great.

Bring It!

I started a new exercise program back in October. It's a cardio and strength training program that you do for 90 days, it's called P90X. It was tough at first to find the time, but I'm so glad I did. And I'm happy to report that I am now a P90X graduate!

3....2.....1....Happy New Year

It is hard to believe 2009 has come to a close. Not only are we celebrating a new year, but it is also the start of a new decade. I have enjoyed many exciting things over the last 10 years, including getting married, living in Hawaii, the birth of my 3 kids, building a new house, competing in my first triathlon, to name a few. I am excited to see what the next decade has in store for me and my family.

We celebrated New Year's Eve with a traditional Filipino meal. The kids made it until 11pm so we counted down along with New York!

A White Christmas

It was our turn to host Christmas this year. The last few years we have done the get together on Christmas Eve, so that Christmas morning the kids could open presents from Santa, and have a low key day at home. We were supposed to be hit with a big snowstorm, so we weren't even sure if we would be getting together after all. But luckily the weather held out, for the most part anyway. The kids had fun with their grandparents, aunt and uncle and cousins. Then it was off to bed since Santa was on his way.

The kids were up pretty early the next morning. They opened presents from us, and checked out their stockings. At first they thought Santa hadn't brought anything, until they found his bag that he left behind. After presents we had breakfast then headed outside to enjoy all the new snow!
